We are so used to reading that sometimes we can’t remember how we break down the sounds in a word. I remember when I started teaching my son to read (my oldest learned all her letter sounds in a preschool for teacher’s kids while I was still teaching Special Education) and feeling a little lost on the simplest thing – what does this letter say!?!
Well have no fear! I’ve put together a beginner’s chart to help you AND your child remember what the letter’s sounds are.

This sound chart features the first letter sounds learned in a systematic phonics approach. We begin with each letter’s most common sound and the short vowels. Y is not yet presented as a vowel.
You will also receive access to my videos showing each letters sound and a how to on practicing the letter sounds, because, yes, there IS a right and wrong way!
